Abstract

This research article explores the evolving concept of posthuman identity in contemporary English fiction through the lens of artificial intelligence, examining how literary narratives reconfigure boundaries between human and machine. By integrating philosophical discourse with close textual analysis, the study investigates the ethical, existential, and ontological questions posed by AI-driven characters and posthuman worlds. The findings highlight how modern fiction both challenges and redefines traditional understandings of selfhood, agency, and consciousness in the age of intelligent technologies.
